Values and vision

As a result of school community evaluation and consultation in 2024 the following vision statement was developed as part of the 2024-2027 School Excellence Plan.

At Newington Public School we strive for continuous growth and personal excellence through high expectations and challenge in a safe, inclusive and engaging environment. Our vision for quality teaching and learning is built on evidence-based practice, collaboration, high impact professional learning and community partnerships.

We acknowledge the Wangal people of the Eora Nation, who are the Traditional Custodians of the land along the southern shore of the Parramatta River. We pay our respects to the Elders, both past and present, and to those of the future, for they hold the memories, the traditions, the cultures and the hopes of Aboriginal Australia. We must always remember that under the concrete and the asphalt upon which Newington P.S. was built, this land is, was and always will be, traditional Aboriginal land.
